    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting cap which can prevent pulling-out of a conductive sleeve from the cap body at the time of compression of the cap body and yet the cap body can be fitted to an electric cable easily, and a cable connection method using it. SOLUTION: The connecting cap comprises a cap body 14 which has an inner depth wall 14a of hemispherical shape at the tip side and an aperture 16 for inserting a core wire part 27a of a cable 27 at the rear edge side and a conductive sleeve 17 which is fitted at the inside of the cap body 14 and is connected to the core wire part 27a, and has an engaging projection 15 of a ring shape for preventing pulling-out of the conductive sleeve 17 at the inner face toward the aperture 16 side of the cap main body 14a. The cap body is formed in taper form which becomes narrower toward the tip side. A recessed part which crosses the insertion direction of the cable 27 is provided at the inner face of the conductive sleeve.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of preventing substantial stress from acting on a lock arm operated in a direction in which a lock security member releases engagement.
      SOLUTION: This connector 1 is provided with a male housing 20, a lock arm 21 engaging with a lock projection of a mating connector, the lock security member 23 and a deformation changeover part 24. The lock security member 23 is arranged movably between a regulating position for regulating elastic deformation of the lock arm 21 and a permitting position for permitting the elastic deformation of the lock arm 21. The deformation regulating member 24 is provided with a first interference part 47 formed on the lock arm 21, and a second interference part formed on the lock security member 23. The deformation regulating member 24 permits the lock arm 21 to elastically deform in a direction for releasing engagement with the lock projection by mutual interference of the interference parts when positioned at the permitting position. In the deformation regulating part 24, the interference parts are separated from each other when the lock security member 23 is positioned at the permitting position.

The gap C2 and the gap C3 are both larger than a clearance C1, and accordingly a gap which is expanded compared with the time when the inner housing 20 is not engaged with a female connector housing 2 is formed between the inner housing 20 and the outer housing 40.
