    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce useless electric power consumption by avoiding unnecessary actuation of a gateway function, in an on-board gateway control device and a vehicle charging system.SOLUTION: The on-board gateway control device of a vehicle includes: a socket into which a connector at the other end of a cable is connected, the cable having one end connected to an external charging apparatus; a vehicle battery which is connected to a power line having one end connected to the socket and which is charged by power supply from the external charging apparatus via the cable and the power line; and an on-board gateway means connected to the power line and relaying communication data supplied from the external charging apparatus via the cable and the power line to transmit the data to an on-board apparatus. The on-board gateway control device is provided with a start switch for switching electric power supply/stop to an on-board gateway means. The connection state of the connector to the socket is determined. When the start switch is in a state of allowing power supply to the on-board gateway means, the relay function by the on-board gateway means is permitted/limited in accordance with the connection state of the connector.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line communication system, a connector device and a power line communication apparatus that implement a compact apparatus for power line communication on a vehicle adapted for power line communication with a feeding apparatus via a charging cable.SOLUTION: A connector device 3 has an electromagnetic induction type signal converter required for power line communication, and a filter, and an ECU has a power line communication section for establishing power line communication via the electromagnetic induction type signal converter. A capacitor 16, signal wiring 17 and a capacitor 16 are connected in series between AC lines 11, 12 extended from a cylindrical portion 32 of the connector device 3. The electromagnetic induction type signal converter comprises a primary coil of the signal wiring 17, which is wound on a toroidal core 15c fitted on the cylindrical portion 32, and a secondary coil of signal wiring 13 connected to the power line communication section which is wound on the toroidal core 15c. Notches 32a, 32b are formed in the cylindrical portion 32 of the connector device 3 to accommodate the signal wiring 17, 13 wound on the toroidal core 15c.
