      SOLUTION: In the belt type continuously variable transmission, a variable pulley comprising a fixed sheave relatively unmovable to an axial direction and a peripheral direction and a movable sheave relatively movable to the axial direction is disposed on a primary side rotating shaft and a secondary side rotating shaft, a winding radius of a belt to the variable pulleys is varied, and thereby, a desired speed ratio is provided. The belt type continuously variable transmission is provided with a gear mechanism 400 comprising a first transmission gear 410 arranged on the secondary side rotating shaft SS movably at least to the axial direction, and a second transmission gear 420 meshed with the first transmission gear 410 and transmitting power to an output shaft side. The gear mechanism 400 is constituted by a helical gear so that the mesh reaction imparts belt pinching force to the movable sheave 324 of the secondary side variable pulley 320.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a transmission belt that reduces a gap between respective elements in a board thickness direction of the element and improves efficiency of power transmission.SOLUTION: The transmission belt has a laminated ring and a plurality of elements circularly bound adjacent to each element in a circumferential direction of the laminated ring. In the transmission belt, both sides of a width direction of the element are held on a sheave surface of a pulley having the pair of sheave surfaces which face to each other and on which a gap thereof is freely changeable. The method of the transmission belt includes: an element board thickness-measuring step (S2) of measuring a board thickness of the element at two or more positions; and an element assembly step (S6) of assembling the plurality of elements to the laminated ring measured by the element board thickness-measuring step (S2).
