The core allows the melt to smoothly contact to the circumferences of the rolls and facilitates the balance between introducing heat and removing heat near the circumferences, which results in obtaining the solidification structure which is fine and homogeneous as a whole and the molten material with fewer defects, such as blow holes, on the cast surfaces. In addition, when the molten material (S) immediately after being delivered from the rolls is rapidly quenched (water cooling or the like) by rapid quenching devices (51, 52), the solidification structure at the center of the material becomes finer, resulting in preventing casting defects.
