摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective structure for the liquid crystal display of an electronic apparatus, the structure achieving smaller exterior size and preventing damages to the liquid crystal display, in the electronic apparatus produced by housing and installing a liquid crystal display in the apparatus chassis made of a resin material, forming an aperture for visual recognition on the apparatus chassis facing the display screen of the liquid crystal display and disposing a protective cover for the display screen for covering the observing aperture.
SOLUTION: A reinforcing frame 100, which is made of a material having higher mechanical strength than the resin material constituting the appliance chassis and which has a frame form following the edge of the aperture for visual recognition, is fixed integrally with the appliance chassis along the edge of the aperture for visual recognition. A display screen protective cover 9 is also fitted to the reinforcing frame 100.

SOLUTION: A rotary engagement part 31 of the hinge part 3 is arranged so as to take nearly the same positional relation as that of an outer side end 16 of the upper case 1 in a direction of a rotary shaft 8. Further, the hinge part 3 has cavity parts 42, 52 open toward an opposed face 7. The lower case 2 is provided with a cavity part 21 in its inside. Then the cavity parts 42, 52 of the hinge part 3 and the cavity part 21 of the lower case 2 are unified to form a large cavity part. A camera unit 12 and other components are mounted in the unified large cavity part.
