When reply data that has the same finger print as a finger print that is registered in the finger print cache is transferred from the server side proxy 230 to the client side proxy 240, the finger print is transferred instead of the reply data. If the same finger print is not registered but data that is to be transferred can be compressed to be represented by using a finger print of reference data that is other registered data, the compressed data is transferred. The server computer 1 generates a common key on the basis of the returned data to be the base of the common key.
