    • PURPOSE: To reduce the higher harmonic generating amount of an LCI power generation system by pairing a plurality of synchronous generators and shifting the phase of the primary or secondary winding of the input transformers of LCIs in accordance with the number of converting phases of the LCIs, and then, starting this pair of synchronous generators at the same timing. CONSTITUTION: A power generation system is constituted of (n) pairs of units 1,..., (n) each of which is composed of two synchronous generators and the generators constituting the unit 1 are started in paired states. When, for example, the system is started in the numerical order of the units, the synchronous generators 1-1A and 1-1B of the unit 1 are simultaneously started by means of LCIs 2-1A and 2-1B and, thereafter, the succeeding units are successively started by means of LCIs 2 in numerical order, with the two generators constituting each unit being started simultaneously. In this case, the phase of the primary or secondary winding of the paired transformers 4 on the input side of each unit 1,..., (n) is shifted so that higher harmonics can be offset by each other in corresponding to the number of converting phases of the LCIs 2.

CONSTITUTION:When the usage of a steam turbine is assumed as a prime mover, there is the number of revolution NMAX as an upper limit for cooling blades used when cooled steam is not ventilated. On the other hand, there is the minimum number of revolution NMIN (rmp) only for rotating liquid helium 2-3 on the inwall of a vessel 2-1 in succession in a superconducting generator 2. Consequently, NMAX>=Nopt>=NMIN is set from said NMAX and NMIN while using the optimum number of revolution of each shaft 1a, 1b of the prime mover 1 and the superconducting generator 2 as Nopt. Accordingly, even when the superconducting generating set is stopped, the generation of thermal stress by the uneven distribution of liquid helium 2-3 in the vessel 2-1 of a rotor is prevented.

CONSTITUTION:A low pressure turbine 10 drives a generator 12 rotationally via an axle 11. The output lines 14 of the generator 12 are connected to electric power system lines 15 and the currents thereof are detected by current transformers 16. The outputs of the current transformers 16a-16c are inputted to a reverse phase current operating device 20 of a monitor 18 for blade-axle torsional vibration. The reverse phase current operating device 20 detects and operates the absolute value and the duration of reverse phase current IZ based on the detection currents of the current transformers 16a-16c. This resultant values are inputted to a vibrational stress operating element 22 and a vibrational stress value is operated based on a vibrational stress data value sigmaZ from a data storing part 23. This value is fed to a life assessment operating device 25 and the operated life of a real machine is displayed on a displaying monitor 26.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the adsorbing and discharging capacity of a hydrogen storage alloy and set the pressure of gas in a rotary machine quickly at a predetermined pressure by attaching a fan to the receiving case of the hydrogen storage alloy, in the hydrogen-cooled rotary electric machine. CONSTITUTION:A case 4, provided at the outside of a rotary electric machine, is filled with powdered hydrogen storage alloy and is provided with a heater 3 and a cooler 2 for heating and/or cooling the hydrogen storage alloy. A fan 7, equipped with a rotating number controller 6, is attached to the case 4. According to this constitution, the powdered hydrogen storage alloy is mixed by the fan 7 whereby the hydrogen gas adsorbing and discharging capacity of the hydrogen storage alloy is unified and the pressure of the hydrogen gas in the rotary electric machine 1 may be controlled efficiently. On the other hand, the fan 7 is controlled at the optimum rotating number by the rotating number controller through a load fluctuating rate and, therefore, contact between the hydrogen storage alloy and the hydrogen gas may be activated to set the pressure of the hydrogen gas in the machine quickly at the optimum value and permit the highly efficient operation of the hydrogen-cooled rotary electric machine.
