    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the smooth movement and the prevention of the leakage of shots.SOLUTION: In a device for performing ultrasonic shot peening, air from an air feeding pipe 26 is discharged into a shot holder 17, a number of shots 22 are shot up and repeatedly collide with one another between a vibration unit 20 and a surface of a plate member 7, and shot peening treatment to the surface of the plate member 7 starts. An operation head pressing device 12 together with an operation head 10 moves along a welding part of the surface of the plate member 7. In the motion, only a brush member 23 extended downward longer than a chamber member 21 and a lower end of a rubber cover member 24 come into contact with the surface of the plate member 7, thereby reducing friction and achieving the smooth movement.

The control rod drive mechanism mounting/dismounting device 12 includes a vertical drive mechanism 9 for vertically moving the control rod drive mechanism 4, a rotational drive mechanism 8 for rotating the control rod drive mechanism mounting/dismounting device 12 about the axis thereof, and a mounting/dismounting mechanism capable of mounting and dismounting a mounting bolt for mounting the control rod drive mechanism 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein the shape of a pipe inner surface of a horizontal pipe such as a nozzle stub can differ from the design due to deformation or the like of a welding part and by a stress load, and, in a device for working along the circumferential direction of the pipe inner surface, the rotation shaft of a process head shifts from the actual center of the pipe, reducing the work accuracy. SOLUTION: The process head is attached to a rotation arm rotating about the major axis of the pipe. The in-pipe work device includes a distance sensor for measuring the distance between the process head and the pipe inner surface, and a process head position adjustment mechanism for changing the length from the rotation center of the rotation arm to the process head.
