    • PURPOSE:To intend shortening of working period for a periodical inspection and the like and to intend to diminish the exposure of personnels by providing a lining coated with a non-adhesive material at a surface with which a stored liquid in a container contacts. CONSTITUTION:On surfaces of concrete inner walls of a nuclear reactor well 2, a fuel storage pool 3 and an equipment and materials storage pit 4 belonging to a nuclear reactor 1, a lining 7 of stainless steel plates is provided and moreover a rubber sheet 7 coated with a non-adhesive material 8 is plastered. With this process, when the reactor 1, the well 2, the pool 3 and the pit 4 are filled with water during a refueling work and the like, radioactive materials do not easily stick to them. Consequently, as for a decontamination and a washing after draining, an enough decontamination can be accomplished by a water spray added with a water jet and the same sort of simple works therewith working period can be shortened and the exposure of personnels can be diminished as well.

    • PURPOSE:To make an accumulator compact and reduce its installation area, by placing the whole cylinder of the accumulator in a nitrogen container so that the pressure of nitrogen gas in the container is caused to directly act to a piston in the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder 11 of an accumulator for a boiling water reactor is placed concentrically in a cylindrical nitrogen container 10. The peripheral surface of the upper part of the cylinder 11 is positioned in tight contact with the inside surface of the upper part of the nitrogen container 10. The top flange of the cylinder 11 is interposed between a lid 12 and the top of the nitrogen container 10 and tightened by bolts 13 so that the cylinder is secured. A piston 14 is inserted into the cylinder 11. A stopper 17 is attached to the bottom of the cylinder 11. A pipe 23, which is connected as a passage to a scram valve not shown in the drawing, is coupled to a passage 22 extending through the lid 12. A measuring unit 24 is coupled to the bottom of the nitrogen container 10.

    • PURPOSE:To detect exactly an opening degree signal of a main vapor isolating valve by constituting a detector from a combination of a transmitter and a receiver of light or ultrasonic beam, etc. and a reflecting plate or an intercepting plate moving in accordance with the opening degree of the main vapor isolating valve. CONSTITUTION:The main vapor isolating valve 11 has a very long stroke, and drives a valve rod 5 against a spring 13 attached at outer circumference of a guide rod 12 to open the valve by an isolating valve driving mechanism 4. An apparatus 10 for detecting the opening degree of the main vapor isolating value is constituted from two photoelectric detectors 15a, 15b provided on an attaching plate 14 fixed to the main vapor isolating valve main body 1, on the line parallel to the valve stroke direction and at the positions corresponding to 10% and 90% opening degrees, and the reflecting plate 16 attached at the one end of a spring receiving plate 6 fixed vertically to the center axis direction of the rod 5 driven by an isolating valve driving mechanism 4, parallelly to the valve stroke direction and in opposition to the front surface of the directions 15a, 15b.
