CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive film 12 is formed on the inner face of a panel 1. Resists 13 with a pattern corresponding to through holes of a shadow mask are formed. A light absorbing paint film 14 is formed on the inner face of the panel 1 formed with the resists 13. The light absorbing paint coated on it is peeled together with the resists 13 to form a light absorbing layer 9a or 9b. As to the added quantity of the boundary surface active agent, an excellent result is obtained at 0.001%-3.0%, but the wet characteristic of the photosensitive liquid is not improved and a photosensitive film with no coating unevenness can not be obtained at 0.001% or less, and the photosensitive film is destroyed during the etching process performed for 5min as an after-process at 3% or more.

    • PURPOSE:To minimize occurrence of color mixture as well as to remove only a phosphor layer by applying and drying a precoat liquid for inactivating an exposed port of the inside surface of a panel, to said inside surface, after forming a light-absorbing layer on said inside surface of the panel, then forming a phosphor layer. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a light-absorbing layer 2a is formed on the inside surface of a panel 1, and then, this light-absorbing layer 2a and an exposed panel-inside surface 1b (called ''substrate'' in general) are wipingly coated with a precoating liquid prepared by dissolving a frit glass 4kg in 4wt% nitric acid 80l, followed by drying it. Next, phosphor slurry coloring in blue, for example, being added with a photosensitive binder as a first color is spread thereon and it is dried and exposed to light, followed by development and drying, thus forming a blue-coloring tape-like phosphor layer 6B.     • PURPOSE:To completely remove sticking dust on the inner surface of a panel and efficiently obtain the titled smooth panel without correction, by cleaning the inner surface of the titled heat-treated panel with a brush using a cleaning solution, primarily washing the inner surface with water, subjecting the inner surface to acid cleaning treatment and carrying out the secondary washing with water. The inner surface thereof is primarily washed with water. The panel washed with water is then sprayed with a 10-18% hydrofluoric acid solution e.g. under 1-1.5kg/cm pressure for about 15-30sec, to carry out acid cleaning treatment. The panel is secondarily washed with high-pressure pure water under, e.g. about 5kg/cm pressure, coated with a resist, dried and sent to an exposing and printing process.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent any separation of phosphor dots and the remaining of phosphor residue by applying a phosphor slurry after a solution prepared by adding SiO2 to an aqueous solution principally composed of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, an azido compound and a silane compound is applied and dried. CONSTITUTION:After the inner surface of a panel 5 is coated with a thin precoat film 6 formed by applying an aqueous solution principally composed of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), an azido compound, a silane compound and SiO2 before drying, a phosphor slurry is applied to the thin film and then the applied slurry is dried to form a phosphor layer which is then exposed to light. Light transmitted by the phosphor layer during the above exposure as well as the cross-linkage between PVP and the azido component accelerate the adhesion between the inner surface of the panel 5 and the precoat film 6 and that between the precoat film 6 and the phosphor layer. The concentration of SiO2 in the aqueous solution is 0.2-5wt%. By the means mentioned above. It is possible to prevent any separation of phosphor dots or the remaining of phosphor residue.
