CONSTITUTION:A guide pipe 13 is brazed to a case 1 with silver solder 14 for example before compression elements such as a cylinder housing 2 are built in the case 1. A connecting pipe 15 is inserted into a refrigerant suction hole 6 of the cylinder housing 2 through the guide pipe 13. A ring-shaped bank 16 is formed near the end projecting outside of the case 1 of the connecting pipe 15. As the guide pipe 13 is soldered to the case 1 to allow a communication between the outside and inside of the case 1 before the pressure element such as the cylinder housing 2, etc., are stored and fastened inside the case 1, the generation of thermal deformation of the case 1 can be prevented. At the same time, this construction allows each connecting part- the connection between the case 1 and the guide pipe 13 and the connection between the guide pipe 13 and the connecting pipe 15 and the connecting pipe 15 and the suction pipe 10 to be easily connected with welding and prevents the generation of refrigerant leak without fail.

The liquid portion of the refrigerant is stored in a partitioned vessel 32, and the gas portion is sent from second perforate holes 34 to a suction pipe 23 through a groove 33, and supplied to a compressor. The cylindrical, partitioned vessel 32 with a bottom is fitted inside the case 21, and the groove 33 is formed on the external wall of the partitioned vessel 32, which extends from an outlet 22 to around the brim of the opening of the partitioned vessel 32. The second perforate holes 34 is provided on the edge of the groove 33 near a small chamber 28.

CONSTITUTION:An electric compressor assembly 5 is accommodated in a closed case 1, the assembly 5 is provided with a motor 3 at its upper side and a compressor 4 at its lower side through a rotational shaft 2. A rotor 6 constructing the motor unit 3 has upper and lower surfaces with balancers 18, 19 mounted thereon for respective first and second unbalances in order that an unbalance force produced when an eccentric portion 10a and a roller 11 rotate eccentrically is removed. In this case, the respective balancers 18, 19 are formed of a sintered material mainly composed of iron and nickel of 1-15%. With such an arrangement, an effect caused by magnetic field of the balancers 18, 19 when a compressor starts is removed and the rotational shaft 2 is securely balanced.

An annular fluid passage 14 formed in the bearing 7 is formed in the following way: A metallic tubular body or bar-like body 15 formed of a metallic material which melts when calcined is preliminarily embedded into a monolithic molding 7 formed of a sintered material and the body 15 is melted in the stage of calcination to form the passage 14 with the space made after the melting. The sintered material is sealed by the molten metal and at the same time the wear resistance of the bearing 7 is improved by the same. A through- hole for the discharge valve 12 of the bearing 6 is similarly formed of a tubular body 15.

The cavity 29b is formed with a resonant chamber 29c communicating with the tin pipe part 29a within it. Although the gas contains pressure pulsation components in a wide range, when the refrigerant gas passes through each of the communication holes 26..., the gas is separated into gas and liquid, thereby sound of the refrigerant gas is attenuated under a series resonation action of the tin pipe part 29a of each of the sound absorbing portions 29 and a resonant chamber 29c of a cavity 29b and then a sound reducing effect can be attained.
