    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of appealing the storage environmental state of a vegetable chamber to a user in a visually confirmable manner by holding the inside of the vegetable chamber in a high humidity state by a humidifying device, and running off mist-like water particles so as to be visible by lighting the mist.
      SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises a cooling space cooled by cold air circulation; a drawer type vegetable chamber 3 partitioned within the cooling space and having storage containers 15 and 16 cooled to a predetermined temperature indirectly by the cold air circulating in the circumference or by introducing part of the circulating cold air; a humidifying means 20 supplying mist-like water particles generated by a mist generator into the vegetable chamber to humidify it; and a lighting system 30. The mist is illuminated by lighting of the lighting system at the time of opening a vegetable chamber door 3a.

A refrigerating cooler 10 for cooling only the refrigerating chamber is disposed behind the refrigerating chamber, and a freezing cooler 15 for cooling only the freezing storage space is disposed behind the third freezing chamber.

      SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a cooling control means for allowing a refrigerant to flow alternately to freezing and refrigerating evaporators 9, 19 to cool while switching the freezing operation mode and the refrigerating operation mode; the damper 15 provided in the duct from the refrigerating evaporator to shut out the flow of cold air to the vegetable chamber 4; and a humidity detecting means 34 for detecting humidity in the vegetable chamber. During the freezing operation mode, the damper is opened when humidity in the vegetable chamber is lower than a predetermined value, and the damper is closed when the humidity is high. During the refrigerating operation mode, the damper is opened when humidity in the vegetable chamber is higher than the predetermined value and closed when the humidity is low.
