    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber, a nonwoven fabric and a carbonized nonwoven fabric, and a method for producing them, in which a fiber having a small fiber diameter can be easily spun by improving spinnability of a polymer solution, and further, handleability can also be improved by suppressing a bead-like defect in the obtained fiber or nonwoven fabric.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a fiber by electrospinning a polymer solution. A fiber is obtained by electrospinning a polymer solution that has a rupture time at elongation of 0.05 seconds or more when the viscosity measured by a Brookfield viscometer is 100 mPa s or less, or a polymer solution that has a polydispersity (Mz/Mw) of 2.7-15 represented by a ratio of a z average molecular weight (Mz) to a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of a polymer constituting the polymer solution. There are provided a nonwoven fabric including the fiber and a method for producing the fiber and the nonwoven fabric.
