    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite semipermeable membrane having high durability, high separation capacity and high water permeability, and a use thereof.
      SOLUTION: The composite semipermeable membrane prepared by first forming a layer having a separation function on a microporous support-membrane and subsequently allowing the resulting layer to contact with an aqueous solution containing chlorine is characterized in that the layer having a separation function is comprised of a cross-linked polyamide prepared by interfacial condensation polymerization of a polyfunctional amine and a polyfunctional acid halide and the ratio of the polyfunctional amine component and the polyfunctional acid halide component each constituting the cross-linked polyamide satisfies the equation: [molarity of polyfunctional amine component/morality of ployfunctional acid halide component ≥1.2].

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a dry reverse osmosis membrane capable of obtaining a desalting capacity or a liquid permeability superior to but not inferior to that of the reverse osmosis membrane before drying even if the reverse osmosis membrane is dried and capable of preventing the production of fungi or the propagation of various bacteria.
      SOLUTION: A membrane of a solution of a compound having at least two reactive groups in one molecule thereof is formed on a porous support and a solution of a polyfunctional compound is brought into contact with the membrane to form a reverse osmosis membrane. This reverse osmosis membrane is subjected to hydrophilizing treatment to be dried.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a composite membrane of which the water permeability is enhanced while the desalting rate thereof is kept, by coating a porous support with a crosslinked polymer based on polyarylamine. CONSTITUTION:A porous support such as a fiber reinforced polysulfone support is immersed in an aqueous polyarylamine solution and, after drainage, the impregnated support is immersed in a solution prepared by dissolving a polyfunctional reagent such as trimesoyl chloride in a solvent such as trichlorotrifluoroethane and, after-drying, the treated support is subjected to crosslinking reaction under heating to form a crosslinked polymer membrane based on polyarylamine. In order to protect the active layer of thus formed semipermeable composite membrane, an aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution is applied to said membrane and dried to form a protective film to the surface of the active layer.
