    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a color filter, by which no peeling off of a coating film surface and no occurrence of wrinkles of the coating film surface take place, and by which a filter segment and a black matrix with high adhesion to the substrate are formed in a laser exposure mode, and also to provide a color filter formed by the producing method. SOLUTION: The method for producing the color filter is characterized by including steps of: forming a color coating film on a substrate by using the color composition containing a pigment, a transparent resin, a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and a photo-polymerization initiator; curing a part of the color coating film, which is to be the filter segment or the black matrix, by irradiating the part with a laser beam; removing the uncured part of the color coating film; and forming the filter segment or the black matrix by irradiating the substrate from the coating film side of the substrate or from the rear side thereof with an active energy ray.
