    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cut-off device manufacturable with less labor and allowing a valve element to close a gas passage at a same timing.
      SOLUTION: A valve seat 2c is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the gas passage 3. A pair of half bodies 5A and 5B forming the valve element 5 are arranged in the gas passage 3 on the slightly upstream side of the valve seat 2c. The base end parts of the half bodies 5A and 5B are rotatably fitted to one end part and the other end part of a supporting shaft 4 orthogonal to the axis of a device body 2. A coiled spring 6 formed of a shape memory alloy is installed at the center part of the supporting shaft 4. One end part 6b and the other end part 6c of the coiled spring 6 are connected to the half bodies 5A and 5B so as to be fixed in the circumferential direction about the supporting shaft 4. The coiled spring 6 is positioned parallel with the axial direction of the gas passage 3 at temperatures lower than a specified transformation temperature by allowing the half bodies 5A and 5B to abut on each other. When the temperature of the coiled spring 6 is lowered to the specified transformation temperature or below, the coiled spring 6 closes the gas passage 3 by seating the half bodies 5A and 5B on a valve seat 2c.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an increase in size of a gas cut-off device capable of urgently cutting off a gas passage when high temperature as in fire occurs.
      SOLUTION: A supporting shaft 5 orthogonal to the axis of the gas passage 3 is installed in the gas passage 3 formed in a circular shape in cross section. A disk-like valve element 6 having a generally same outer diameter as the inner diameter of the gas passage 3 is rotatably fitted to the supporting shaft. A weight 7 is fitted onto the lower surface 6a end part of the valve element 6 at a position apart from the supporting shaft. A holding shaft 8 positioning the valve element 6 at an open position where the valve element 6 is slightly tilted relative to the axis of the gas passage 3 by abutting on the upper surface 6b of the valve element 6 is installed in the gas passage 3. The holding shaft 8 is formed of a metal with a low melting point melting at a specified melting temperature or a resin. A stopper shaft 9 keeping the valve element 6 in a closed position for closing the gas passage 3 by abutting on the valve element when the holding shaft 8 is molten and the valve element 6 is rotated to a horizontal by the weight 7 is installed in the gas passage 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buried type gas valve capable of rotating a connecting part from a storing position automatically to a use position.
      SOLUTION: A base part 5 is fixed on an outdoor O side of an inner wall W, and a decorative plate 3 having a window opening 3a is fixed to the indoor I side of the inner wall W. The connecting part 6 which is rotatable between the storing position and the use position with a first rotating axis L1 as the center is connected to the base part 5. A coil spring 15 for energizing an intermediate part 7 in rotation from the storing position toward the use position is provided between the base part 5 and the intermediate part 7. A lid body 12 for opening and closing the window opening 3a is fixed to the connecting part 6. An engagement mechanism 13 for disengageably engaging the lid body 12 and the connecting part 6 to the storing position by resisting the energizing force of the coil spring 15 is provided between the lid body 12 and the inner peripheral face of the window opening 3a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep down expense for connecting gas pipes at a low cost as to a sealing structure for gas pipes with a seal member, used for sealing spaces between fit parts of the turnably together fitted gas pipes.
      SOLUTION: The seal member 6 made of metal is provided between a stepped surface 12 of the gas pipe 1 and a right-end surface 23 of a joint 2. Both end surfaces of the seal member 6 are planes orthogonal to a turning-motion axis line L, when the seal member 6 is in a natural state in which no external force acts thereon. An annular projection part 14 is formed in an inner circumferential part of the stepped surface 12, while an annular projection part 24 is formed in an outer circumferential part of the end surface 23. Both the end surfaces of the seal member 6 are caused to make pressing contact with the projection parts 14 and 24, respectively, with the seal member 6 being elastically deformed in the direction of the axis line L.
