The torque tool sets an operation position of toggle in an increase area of the output voltage; sets a reduction area of the output voltage in a position after generating the overtorque; sets a first switch point SP1 in a position delayed more than the operation timing of the toggle in the voltage increase area; selectably sets a second switch point SP2 in a position after generating the overtorque in the reduction area of the output voltage; and determines a maximum peak value in peak values of torque arithmetically operated on the basis of a signal from the sensor up to reaching the selected switch point, to be displayed on a display means.
