    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent efficiency from getting worse by accumulation of a refrigerant inside a cooling circuit in a temperature regulator for cooling a cargo for a motor truck or the like.
      SOLUTION: The problem to be solved herein is solved by the temperature regulator and an operation method for the temperature regulator described hereinafter. The temperature regulator is provided with the cooling circuit sealed with the refrigerant, and having a compressor, a condenser and an evaporator coil, and the first flow passage for the refrigerant used in a cooling operation, and the second flow passage for heating to remove the refrigerant having the possibility of the accumulation inside the cooling circuit, a risk of the accumulation of the refrigerant inside the cooling circuit is removed to prevent the lowering of the efficiency. The method includes the provision of the first flow passage extended through the compressor, the condenser and an evaporator, the provision of the second flow passage extended through the compressor and the evaporator, and for by-passing one portion of the cooling circuit, the introduction of the refrigerant through the first flow passage during an operation of a cooling mode, the introduction of the refrigerant through the second flow passage during an operation of a heating mode, and the recovery of the refrigerant from the one portion of the cooling circuit during an operation of a recovery cycle.
