    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a spring vibration isolator suitable for vibration isolation of an operating part of an expansion valve configured compactly while ensuring the function.SOLUTION: The expansion valve of a certain mode includes: a shaft 33 for transferring driving force of a drive part to a valve body; and a spring vibration isolator 50 which is interposed between a body and the shaft 33 for biasing the shaft 33 to add sliding resistance. The spring vibration isolator 50 includes: a cylindrical body 52 which allows the shaft 33 to be inserted inward; a spring part 54 which is integrally formed with a side wall of the body 52, and is supported in a cantilevered state by the body 52; and a swelling part 56 protruding on a surface facing the shaft 33 of the spring part 54. When the swelling part 56 abuts on the inserted shaft 33, the spring part 54 is bent to a position along the body 52 or to the outside of the body 52, and sliding force can be applied to the shaft 33 by elastic reaction force.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve having low cost without adding other parts for a vibration damping means.
      SOLUTION: A plate spring 24 constituting the vibration damping means is integrally formed on a center disc 22 of a power element 13. A radially outward load is applied to the inner wall face of a cylindrical portion 26 formed at the center of a lower housing 20 to generate sliding resistance to the axial movement. By giving vibration damping function to the center disc 22 necessary for constituting the power element 13, the function is increased without increasing the number of parts. Thus, cost for the highly functioning expansion valve is reduced and its assembling efficiency is improved with the less number of parts.

A position of a center pressure receiving part 29 of the diaphragm 23 when the valve part 2 is fully closed is set to be near a plane including a welded part of an outer periphery of the diaphragm 23, and a corrugated part 28 of the diaphragm 23 is prevented from inducing reverse operation at the time of opening and closing operation of the valve part 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve capable of correctly transferring heat to a power element, and adjusting the time constant without increasing the cost.
      SOLUTION: An equalizing hole 13 is communicated with an equalizing chamber adjacent to a low pressure passage between connection holes 22 and 23 of a valve case 3 immediately below a diaphragm 6 of a power element 1 in a direction orthogonal to the refrigerant flow direction of the low pressure passage. The equalizing hole 13 is formed by cutting out the outer circumference of a holder 12 to be welded to an opening edge portion of a lower housing 5, and the opening area is set according to the time constant to be temperature-sensed by the power element. Since refrigerant in the low pressure passage directly passes through the equalizing chamber via the equalizing hole 13, the power element 1 can correctly sense the temperature of the refrigerant, and the time constant to be temperature-sensed by the power element can be easily adjusted only by changing the opening area of the equalizing hole 13.
