    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a pan spring by which a manufacturing cost is reduced and a clutch device provided with the pan spring. SOLUTION: The clutch device is provided with two clutch mechanisms having a clutch drum in the inside. Each of a ring-like master pan spring and a slave pan spring is provided between a driven plate and a piston in the inside of the clutch drum of each clutch mechanism. The master pan spring and the slave pan spring have the same thickness. In the slave pan spring, a plurality of slits are formed in its inner peripheral part and load generated when the spring is flat in elastic deformation is adjusted to a desired value. Respective blanks 1A, 2A of such master and slave pan springs are obtained from metal plates having the same thickness by press working. Especially when the slave pan spring has a size which is accommodated inside the master pan spring, the blank 2A of the slave pan spring is punched from the inside region of the blank 1A of the master pan spring.
