    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like fiber-reinforced composite material having an excellent mechanical property, produced at lower cost than a conventional method or means.
      SOLUTION: This sheet-like fiber-reinforced composite material consists of a fiber-reinforced material such as woven fabric and a thermoplastic resin. In the sheet-like fiber-reinforced composite material, the fiber-reinforced material is locally distributed at least in one surface layer portion. Preferably, a layer of a lower fiber volume content Vf than the surface layer portion or a fiber non-containing layer (a thermoplastic resin layer) not containing the fiber-reinforced material is present in a central portion of the sheet-like fiber-reinforced composite material, and a thickness of the central portion is at least a tenth of a thickness of the whole fiber-reinforced composite material.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for directly obtaining an FRP molded article by utilizing a molding method for a preform which uses a robot arm type gun device by a computer control. SOLUTION: This FRP molded article is molded by jetting and feeding a reinforcing fiber and a matrix resin to a molding die by the action of a jetting fluid by using the gun device which is provided at the distal end section of a robot arm. In this case, as the reinforcing fiber, a short fiber having a length of 3 to 300 mm is used (1), and as the matrix resin, a thermoplastic resin is used within a range that the resin content in the molded article is 50 to 80 wt.% (2). Also, the jetting fluid is jetted and fed to the molding die by using hot air at a temperature of the softening point of the thermoplastic resin or higher (3), the shaping is performed by the molding die (4), and then, the matrix resin is hardened by cooling the molding die (5), and then, the molded article is removed from the molding die (6).     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multiaxial woven fabric that comprises a multiaxial woven fabric substrate and a thermoplastic resin film and is readily handleable, a composite sheet obtained by heating the multiaxial woven fabric and a composite material obtained by heating and pressing the multiaxial woven fabric or the composite sheet or the laminate of a plurality of the multiaxial woven fabrics or the composite sheets.

The multiaxial woven fabric or the composite sheet obtained by heating the multiaxial woven fabric so as to impregnate at least a part of the thermoplastic resin into the multiaxial woven fabric substrate or the laminate of a plurality of the multiaxial woven fabrics or the composite sheets is heated and molded under pressure to give the composite material having excellent mechanical performance.
