    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a detection output, and to prevent breakages in lead conductors for a magnetic sensor of an encoder, such as a GMR sensor, a TMR sensor, etc.
      SOLUTION: The sensor pattern surface 21a of a substrate 21 is inclined by a prescribed pitch angle α (desirably, α=0.1 to 5°), with respect to a magnetic medium 15. Dummy chips 23 are attached to the substrate 21 on both the sides thereof in form severally projecting from the pattern surface 21a of the substrate 21 so as to sandwich each other with the substrate 21 in between. A medium slide surface 23a of each dummy chip 23 is chamfered at its corner angle part on a side opposite to the substrate 21. This keeps the detection distance D1 constant at all times, stabilizing the detection output. Since edge portions of the magnetic medium 15 make no contact with the pattern surface 21a of the substrate 21, the lead conductor disposed on the pattern surface 21a will not break. Even if the magnetic medium 15 is rotated, it will not be damaged by the dummy chip 23.

      SOLUTION: The spacer 5 is dipped into a noninflammable liquid 11 for insulation in which electric insulation properties are higher than those of air and held among a plurality of electrodes 13a, 13b, and 14 for inspection. A high voltage is applied among the electrodes 13a, 13b, and 14 for inspection for holding the spacer 5 for inspecting the electric characteristics of the spacer 5.

    • PURPOSE:To improve a magnetic characteristic and to reduce manufacturing cost by forming the laminate surface of a magnetic head, for which plural ferrite core pieces are laminated, to be a cut surface, of which surface roughness is rougher than that of a mirror surface, and mutually adhering the cut surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Ferrite core materials 1 and 2 of an L-shaped cross section and an I-shaped cross section are adhered through a non-magnetic material such as glass and further, a non-magnetic panel 3 for reinforce such as ceramic, etc., is adhered. Then, an welding bar 10 is constituted. This bar 10 is cut with prescribed width T in a lengthwise direction and a head piece 6 is obtained. At such a time, the surfaces of cut surfaces 1a and 2a are set so as to obtain the roughness, thickness accuracy and flatness suitable for various conditions required as the magnetic head. For the piece 6, the several cut surfaces are mutually attached to one floppy and head and a back core is fixed. Then, a core assembly body is manufactured. Thus, the dispersion of adhesive intensity is eliminated and the thickness dimension accuracy is made uniform.
