摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insoluble electrode for electrolysis which has an intermediate layer, wherein excellent durability is attained with reduced production cost. SOLUTION: The electrode for electrolysis is provided with an electrode base material formed from a conductive metal, the intermediate layer formed on the electrode base material and a catalytic layer formed on the intermediate layer and comprising an electrode catalyst active material. The intermediate layer is formed on the electrode base material and formed from an under layer having 0.3-0.7 μm thickness and including one of platinum, iridium or rhodium and a tantalum layer formed on the under layer and having 0.5-1.5 μm thickness.
