In closing operation, an engaging face 10 of the latch bolt 4 is engaged with the latch body 7 to lock the door 12 by releasing and returning the latch bolt 4 into the advance position after the latch body 7 is detached from a slant face 9. In opening operation, the engaging face 10 of the latch bolt 4 is engaged with the latch body 8 of the handle shaft 5 in the second position to temporarily fasten the door 12 in the half-opened position.
