    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system capable of efficiently illuminating surrounding and in front of a moving human.
      SOLUTION: The illumination system is equipped with a plurality of illumination fixtures which are dispersed and installed in an illumination region, a human detection part capable of detecting a position of a person which passes through in at least the illumination region, and a control part capable of controlling lighting on/off or light adjustment of the illumination fixtures so that a personal illumination is carried out surrounding the person according to output of the human detection part. The illumination region is composed of a plurality of areas in order to recognize the position of the person, the control part has a position predicting means for predicting in each area unit the movement destination of the person who moves from an arbitrary original point in the illumination area based on the present or past positional information of the person himself, and when the person moves in the continuous areas continuously to the original point area including the original point as a moving path, the illumination fixtures are operated which are in the continuous areas anticipated as the movement destination at the time point when the person is separated from the original point area.
