    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aseismatic reinforcing method and an aseismatic reinforcing structure for an existing building that can fully exhibit a required reinforcing effect with excellent workability and economical efficiency without needing large-scale construction besides making effective use of an existing frame in spite of an aseismatic reinforcing technology of the type of reinforcing existing beams in the existing building.
      SOLUTION: The aseismatic reinforcing method comprises steps of: newly providing a beam joint part 1 of steel structure including a column-beam joint part 10 of the existing building, around the column-beam joint part 10; filling grout in the new beam joint part 1 of steel structure to integrate the beam joint part 1 with an existing column 11; connecting new steel beams 3, 3 arranged on both sides of the existing beam 12, to the existing column 11 through the new beam joint part 1 of steel structure; and joining the new steel beams 3 integrally to existing floor slabs 13 or the existing beam 12.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base-isolated structure capable of efficiently base-isolating a container in both horizontal and vertical directions, a building having the base-isolated structure, and a base-isolated building having the building horizontally base-isolated. SOLUTION: A structure 22 is supported with a horizontal base-isolating device 18. The container 24 supported with a vertical base-isolating device 26 is arranged inside the structure 22. The structure 22 is provided with a guide means 32 for permitting the vertical movement in the container 24 and regulating the horizontal movement therein. This can reduce vertical and horizontal vibrations transmitted to the container 24 by earthquakes etc. Additionally, the vertical base-isolating device 26 has only to support the container 24 lighter than the building, thereby the container 24 can be efficiently base-isolated in both the horizontal and vertical directions.
