    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound isolating structure capable of stably and efficiently shutting heavy floor impact sound at a story floor having many low frequency components by an active control. SOLUTION: Noise caused in an upper living room is transmitted to a cavity 14 through a floor 10. The noise transmitted to the cavity 14 includes the low frequency components of 250 Hz or less corresponding to the natural resonance frequency of the floor 10. The noise caused in the upper living room is detected by a reference microphone 18, and noise signals are outputted to a controller 24. On the other hand, residual sound remaining in the cavity 14 without being muffled is detected by an error microphone 22, and error signals are outputted to the controller 24. The controller 24 performs an adoptive control so that the error signals become minimum by using the inputted noise signals and error signals. Control signals obtained are outputted to a speaker 20. The speaker 20 radiates control sound generated according to the control signals toward the inside of the cavity 14. In the cavity 14, the noise is canceled by the radiated control sound.
