摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a cerebral function improver having high safety and protecting action on cerebral nerve cell, comprising amygdalin as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:This cerebral function improver comprises amygdalin of the formula, KYOUNINN (stone of Prunus armeniaca) as a plant containing amygdalin or its extract as an active ingredient. The cerebral function improver is obtained by combining the active ingredient with a well-known carrier for medicine and can be pharmaceutically manufactured into an oral agent such as tablet, capsule, granule, fine granule or powder or a parenteral agent such as injection or suppository. The does is 1-30 mg per adult per time and administered once to three times daily by oral administration in the case of amygdalin as the active ingredient and is 0.2-mg per adult per time by injection. In the case of KYOUNINN (stone of Prunus armeniaca) or its extract as the active ingredient, the dose is preferably 1-4g per adult per time and properly administered once to three times daily. The cerebral function improver is effective as a therapeutic agent for cerebrovascular lesion such as psychogenic symptom, nerve symptom, subjective symptom and daily life activity disorder.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an ameliorant for cerebral functions, containing ephedrine as an active ingredient and having cerebral neuron protecting actions and high safety. CONSTITUTION:This ameliorant for the cerebral functions contains ephedrine or its salt (e.g. l-ephedrine) or Ephedra sinica which is a plant containing the ephedrine or its extract as an active ingredient. The ameliorant is useful as a therapeutic agent for cerebral angiopathy for mental, nervous and subjective symptoms, activity disorder in daily living, etc. The ameliorant can be prepared as an oral agent such as a tablet, a capsule, a granule, a fine granule or a powder or a parenteral agent such as an injection or a suppository. The daily dose thereof for an adult is 2.5-25mg (the dose is twice in the case of dl- ephedrine hydrochloride) expressed in terms of U-ephedrine hydrochloride at a time administered 1-3 times in the case of the oral agent and 25-40mg (40mg in the case of dl-ephedrine hydrochloride) at a time in the case of the injection. When the active ingredient is the Ephedra sinica or its extract, the dose for an adult is 1.5-9g as the active ingredient and orally administered in several portions.

The dose is 10-100mg per adult per time and administered to three times daily by oral administration in the case of apioisoliquiritin as the active ingredient and is 1-20mg per adult per time by injection. In the case of KANZOU (root of Glycyrrhiza glabra) or its extract as the active ingredient, the dose is preferably 0.5-2g per adult per time and properly administered once to three times daily.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a neurocyte-protecting agent having a late neurocyte necrosis-preventing activity and useful for treating cerebral diseases caused by protein biosynthesis disorders such as cerebral hemorrhage by compounding a protein synthesis-inhibiting agent as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A protein synthesis-inhibiting agent such as cycloheximide or actinomycin-D as an active ingredient is, if necessary, mixed with a conventional carrier and then prepared into the objective agent. The agent can be prepared into an oral agent such as tablets, capsules, granules, piles or powder or into a parenteral agent such as injections or suppositories. The agent as the active agent is administered in an amount of 1mg-5g/day/adult in the case of the oral administration and in an amount of 0.1mg-1g/adult two or three times a day or week in the case of the parenteral administration. The agent can exhibit the activity before or just after cerebral ischemia and also several hours after the cerebral ischemia.
