The fitting female member 55 is formed of elastic rubber and provided with a fitting hole 56 for fitting the fitting male member 45, at the center part.       SOLUTION: This guide roller 2 for the sliding door, which rolls along a guide rail 8 of a vehicle body, comprises an inner metal ring 4 which is fixed to a supporting shaft 3, an outer metal ring 6 which is rotatably held by the inner metal ring 4, and the synthetic-resin coating portion 7 which is fixed to an outer peripheral surface 61 of the outer metal ring 6 so as to coat it and rotated integrally with the outer ring 6. A plurality of inclined grooves 63, which are elongated in an oblique direction with respect to the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface 61 of the outer metal ring 6, are provided in the outer peripheral surface 61 of the outer metal ring 6 at predetermined intervals in the width direction of the outer peripheral surface 61. A synthetic resin material is insert-molded in the outer peripheral surface 61 so as to form the coating portion 7. An inner surface 71 of the coating portion 7 and an outer peripheral surface 61 of the outer ring 6 adheres to each other in a concavo-convex manner, so as to prevent a slip from occurring in the circumferential direction of the outer ring 6 between the coating portion 7 and the outer ring 6 in the opening/closing of the sliding door.
