    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining method and a laser beam machining apparatus which are capable of enhancing the welding efficiency in a plated metal, enhancing the assurance accuracy of the welding quality by completing the application of laser beam so that the welding depth is made adequate, and setting the welding condition inexpensively in a short period of time.
      SOLUTION: The output intensity of the laser beam is regulated to the high output based on the fact that the intensity of the reflected beam is once raised, and then, dropped below the predetermined value while applying laser beam of low output, and, this state is continued for the first predetermined time. The intensity of the laser beam is regulated to be zero based on the fact that the reflected beam is raised again, and then, dropped below the second predetermined value while applying the laser beam of high output, and, this state is continued for the second predetermined time.
