摘要： PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain the Al laminated steel sheet at a low rolling rate by plating a specific amt. of nickel on the steel sheet, heat treating the steel sheet for a specific period of time at a specific temp. in a neutral atmosphere, laminating Al, etc., thereon cladding the same at a specific draft and heat treating the laminate for a specific period of time at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:The nickel or nickel alloy is plated at 0.5 to 250mg/dm on the steel sheet in the case of lamination of the foil or sheet of Al or Al alloy having 5 to 300mum thickness on the steel sheet. The plated steel sheet is heat treated for 1 to 600 seconds at 200 to 800 deg.C heating temp. in the neutral or reducing atmosphere. This plated steel sheet is laminated with the foil or sheet of the Al or Al alloy and is cladded at 1 to 15% draft. The steel sheet is then heat treated for to 600 second heating time from 400 deg.C the temp. below the m.p. of the Al or Al alloy. The Al laminated steel sheet having the excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance, workability, working adhesive property, and adhesive property to org. films is inexpensively obtd. at the lower rolling rate.

These may be in the form of metallic plates and in some cases it is more preferable to use them after carrying out plating of single layer, plural layers, alloy layers, etc. of Cr, Ni, Cu, etc. thereto or subjecting these to a chemical conversion treatment with soln. of salts such as chromate.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a very thin steel plate to enhance battery performance by forming an Ni or Ni-alloy hard layer on the thin steel plate, and subjecting the steel plate with the hard layer formed thereon to plastic deformation at a predetermined rate to produce cracks in the hard layer. SOLUTION: A thin steel plate is plated with a hard metal and then subjected to cold rolling process at a predetermined draft to produce a number of cracks only in a hard layer part such as a plating layer, the percentage of the crack area being within a fixed range of 5 to 60%. In this case, a part of an active material layer infiltrates cracking parts present on the surfaces of the hard layers of the cracks to prevent dropping of the active material as a whole. The steel plate to be formed into a core has the cracks formed in its hard layer and when necessary a rustproof surface treatment layer is formed thereon. The hard plating is Ni-P plating, Ni-Sn alloy plating, or the like. Therefore, the use of the very thin steel plate is made possible to allow an increase in number of turns in a battery.
