    • PURPOSE:To appropriately set the roasting degree by providing conductivity detection means for detecting the conductivity on the surface portion of a food to be roasted and determining that said conductivity has been lowered to a value lower than a predetermined value and a timer started by an output of said conductivity detection means for controlling the roasting time of the food to be roasted. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage divided by a resistor between electrodes 5a and 5b and a stationary resistor 21 exceeds a reference voltage, the output of a comparator 22 is inverted, and it is determined that the conductivity on the surface of a food to be roasted is lowered to a value less than a predetermined value. The output of a conductivity detection circuit 12 is inputted to a timer starting circuit 13 and a timer 14 is started at a point in time of the inversion of the output, that is, a point in time where the conductivity on the surface of the food to be roasted is lowered to less than a predetermined value. In the timer 14, a time (limit time) from a point in time where the food begins to scorch to a point in time where the food is roasted to a desired roasting degree is preset by the user. When this time has passed, a signal is sent from the timer 14 to a heater control circuit 15.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an accurate sensing of a temperature of heated item and further enable an efficient heating and cooking operation to be attained by a method wherein a temperature sensing means for use in sensing a temperature of a heating item and a shielding means for covering the temperature sensing means so as to receive only a reflected infra-red ray from the heating item are provided. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensing device 13 is closely arranged below a top plate 5, a thermal insulating material 15 is arranged at an outer circumference of the temper ature sensing device 13, and an infra-red ray reflecting film 17 is arranged at an outer circumference of the thermal insulating material 15. Accordingly, the infra-red ray radiated from a halogen lamp 9 is shielded by an infrared ray reflecting film 17. A temperature sensing device 13 has a relatively small shape and its thermal capacity is low, so that the temperature is accurately detected through a thermal conduction attained from a bottom part of the heated item to be mounted on the top plate 5. That is, the temperature sensing device 13 is not influenced by a thermal conduction of the medium such as infrared ray radiated from the halogen lamp or air heated by the infrared ray or the like and thus a temperature of the heated item can be accurately detected.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the outputting of a frosting confirmation signal and a defrosting confirmation signal with a correct timing by a method wherein one set of air capacitor is employed to discriminate the confirmation of frosting from the confirmation of defrosting utilizing different phenomena generated in the air capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When the adhering amount of frost 41 to the surface of a refrigerant circulation pipe 17 is increased, the electrostatic capacity of an air capacitor 27 is increased and the oscillating frequency of an oscillating circuit 29 is reduced. A judging circuit 30 responds oscillating frequency at that time and rises up outputting signals P1, P2 while outputting a frosting confirmation signal. Then, precooling is effected for a given period of time T1 and a compressor 1 as well as fan are stopped while conductions of a glass tube heater 15 and a vacuum heater 16 are started. When the melting of the frost 41 is advanced, a pool 42 contacts with an electrode plate 22 to short-circuit the refrigerant circulation pipe 17 and the electrode plate 22 electrically and the oscillating operation of an oscillating circuit 29 is stopped. As a result, outputting signals P1, P2 rise up and a defrosting confirmation signal is outputted.

    • PURPOSE: To correctly perform automatic control of a suction flow quantity by detecting friction by a suction part of a floor surface in a suction range, determining a condition of the floor surface based on the size of the detected friction, and performing control of suction. CONSTITUTION: In the case where a floor surface 17 is a carpet, for example, rotation speed of a detection brush 15 is decreased because of a large friction, and a drive current to a motor 13 is increased to increase a signal level from a motor rotation detector 23, where a comparator 25 determines that the floor surface 17 is the carpet because of the level larger than a set threshold value. A comparator 25 controls a turbine motor 2 through a turbine motor control part 29 to adjust a suction flow quantity to a suitable flow to the carpet to which suction flow quantity is preliminarily set, and a motor 9 is started to be driven through a motor control part 27 for a rotary brush, so rotation actuation of the rotary brush is started.
