    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To approach a room temperature sensor to an indoor unit in the ceiling and ensure proper room temperature control corresponding to the position of such a room temperature sensor. SOLUTION: An air conditioning system air conditions each room A to D (i=1 to 4) with an indoor unit 1 disposed in the ceiling. There are provided outlets 4a to 4c and a suction inlet 5d in the neighbourhood of the ceiling on the side of the indoor unit 1 of the rooms A to C and the room D. There are provided room temperature sensors 6a to 6c and 7 in the vicinity of the outlets 4a to 4c and the suction inlet 5b. Room temperature (Ta)i detected by the room temperature sensors 6a to 6c of the rooms A to C is corrected in response to a temperature difference ((Ta)i-Tk) between the room temperature (Ta)i and suction air temperature Tk detected by a suction air temperature sensor of the indoor unit 1, and hence room temperature (Taf)i after the correction is estimated. Room temperature (Ta)4 detected by the room temperature sensor 7 of the room D is equally rendered to only minus correction. The indoor unit 1 performs room temperature control of the rooms A to D (i=1 to 4) based upon the room temperature (Taf)i after the correction.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the operating rate of a compressor and improve the reliability as well as the comfortable property of an air conditioner by a method wherein the fan of an outdoor machine is stopped or operated intermittently under a condition that the operating frequency of the compressor is controlled so as to be the lowest frequency. CONSTITUTION:A compressor is rotated with a high operating frequency when the number of rooms necessitating air conditioning is many and a necessitated capacity is big while the compressor is rotated with a low operating frequency when the number of rooms, necessitating air conditioning, is few. When the temperatures of respective rooms have arrived at a set temperature, the compressor is operated by the lowest frequency of operating frequency impressed on a motor 1M for compressor by a frequency variable circuit 59 while the outdoor machine fan motor 66 is stopped or operated intermittently by an outdoor machine fan motor control circuit 61. The compressor is operated under the continuous operating condition of a low capacity while a refrigerating cycle is retained in the condition of a capacity larger than the air-conditioning load of respective indoor machines. According to this method, the operating rate of the compressor is increased and the frequency of ON/OFF is reduced whereby the reliability of the refrigerating cycle can is be improved while the fluctuation of room temperatures in respective rooms is reduced and comfortable living spaces can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the unevenness of temperature and humidity of passing air and prevent the generation of dewing in a structure in an indoor unit by providing a flow rate control means for regulating the flow rate of refrigerant at the communicating side with a compressor in respective indoor heat exchangers. CONSTITUTION:Flow rate control means or flow rate controllers 6, 9 for regulating the flow rate of refrigerant are provided in respective indoor heat exchangers 5, 8 at the communicating side with a compressor l. The flow rate controllers 6, 9 are opened by 100% when opening and closing valves 6a, 9a are opened and choke the flow rate of refrigerant to 20%, for example, when the opening and closing valves 6a, 9a are closed. When the flow rate is controlled so that 50% of refrigerant flows by an expansion valve 7, for example, and 20% of refrigerant flows by the flow rate controller 9, the flow of refrigerant for the indoor heat exchanger 8 is regulated so as to be 10% in total. The flow amount of refrigerant is regulated so as to be a small flow amount since the flow rate controller 9 of the outlet port of cooling affects dominatingly than the expansion valve 7 at the inlet port of refrigerant in such a manner whereby the flow amount of refrigerant is controlled so as to be small. As a result, the evaporating capacity of the indoor heat exchanger 8 is contracted and the temperature thereof is made uniform.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of starting revolutions of a compressor through utilization of inertia of a load and to improve reliability by a method wherein the working frequency of the compressor is decided based on a total sum of operation control points weighted by means of a temperature difference between the temperature of each part to be air-conditioned and a set temperature. CONSTITUTION:An operation control point P allotted by means of a difference between the temperature of each part to be air-conditioned and a set temperature is set. The working frequency of a compressor responding to a total sum thereof is commanded to an outdoor machine l. An operation set point at which the compressor is started to run is 2 or more in a total. When, for example, four rooms are an object to be air-conditioned, the operation control point of each of at least two rooms is one point. Since operation is started when a room temperature is not reduced to a value too low for the starting of running of the compressor, controllability of a room temperature is excellent. Further, since it takes ten or more minutes starting from the stop of the compressor that a total sum of operation control points amounts for two points, the number of running and stopping times of the compressor is reduced through utilization of inertia of a load by a plurality of parts to be air-conditioned, and reliability of the compressor is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of a room temperature by a method wherein the hot gas of refrigerant from a compressor is passed directly through an outdoor heat exchanger to effect defrosting operation, in an air-conditioner in which a heat pump unit is combined with a brine circuit employing a heat accumulator. CONSTITUTION:A heat pump unit 1 is constituted principally of a compressor 3, provided in a refrigerant circuit 2, a four-way valve 4, the refrigerant side heat exchanger 6 of a brine/refrigerant heat exchanger 5, an expansion valve 7 and an outdoor heat exchanger 8, and is provided with a solenoid valve 9. A brine circuit 11 is constituted principally of the brine side heat exchanger 12 of the brine/refrigerant heat exchanger 5, a heat accumulator 13, a pump 14 and an indoor heat exchanger 15. Heat is accumulated in the heat accumulator 13 of the brine circuit 11 by the heating operation of the heat pump unit 1; thereafter, the heat is radiated from the indoor heat exchanger 15 upon the rise-up of heating under a condition that a predetermined amount of heat remains in the heat accumulator 13 while brine in the heat accumulator 13 is circulated through the indoor heat exchanger 15 upon defrosting operation, whereby the reduction of a room temperature upon the defrosting operation may be prevented.
