SOLUTION: This device is constituted by arranging and contacting a plurality of piezoelectric vibrators 16 in one dimensional or two dimensional on a metal plate 17. Ultrasonic wave is transmitted and received with an array type ultrasonic transducer 10 whose metal plate 17 is sealed by welding on a metal case 21 and inspects in-core. In this case, a packing member 18 is contacted on the opposite surface of the metal plate 17 of the piezoelectric vibrator 16 and a support member 22 having stiffness is inserted between the packing member 18 and the metal case 21 perpendicularly to the metal plate 17 surface.

A boundary section between the metallic plate 101 and front surface of the piezoelectric element 102 and a boundary section between the rear surface of the piezoelectric element 102 and backing material 105 are respectively bonded by a conductive bonding agent.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic device with a high sensitivity by furnishing it with a vibrator consisting of a laminate of piezo elements made from solid solution type single-crystals of zinc-lead niobate-lead titanate. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 2, 3 are formed on the surfaces of the first piezo element 1, and to the one 3, a second piezo element 4 is affixed, and leads 5 are drawn out of the electrodes 2, 3. A drive signal is impressed between these leads 5, and it is possible to transmit and receive ultrasonic signals in two frequency bands. The frequency ratio can further be widened by forming piezo element from solid solution type single-crystals of zinc-lead niobate-lead titanate having an electromechanical bond factor k'33 of 83% approximately. The ultrasonic probe equipped with a vibrator consisting of a laminate of such piezo elements 1, 4 made of single-crystals of solid solution type has a wider frequency band width on the high-frequency side than any conventional probe. This method further enhances the S/N of Doppler information, increases the depth of the view field of a CT image, and extending the region of diagnosis.

Therefore, acoustic separation between adjacent vibrators is increased and cross talk is reduced. Since LSI of an impedance converter, a vibrator selecting switch circuit, etc., can be formed on a flat part so provided as to surround a V-shaped groove 14, a transmission efficiency of a reception signal is improved and the number of connection cables can be lessened. Therefore a device can be made small in size and light in weight.
