摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate for a slide gate, having a small apparent porosity, a narrow pore diameter distribution and an improved balance among strength, heat shock resistance and corrosion resistance in comparison with conventional plates, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This plate for a slide gate comprises a sintered refractory obtained by adding 3-10 outer wt.% of a thermosetting resin as a binder to 100 wt.% of a mixture comprising (A) 73-96 wt.% of a refractory aggregate comprising one or more kinds of refractory inorganic materials, (B) 0.1-0.5 wt.% of fibrous metal aluminum, (C) 1-5 wt.% of flaky metal aluminum powder, (D) 2-10 wt.% of carbonaceous powder, and (E) metal silicon powder in an amount of 0.2-2 times the total wt.% of the fibrous metal aluminum and the flaky metal aluminum powder, kneading the mixture, molding the kneaded product and sintering the molded product.

The material of the heat insulating material 6 is composed of Al2 O3 -SiO2 , Al2 O3 -SiO2 -C, or Al2 O3 -SiO2 -CaO. The thermal conductivity is selected from the range of 0.05-1.5Kcal/m.hr. deg.C and the thickness is specified to be 0.2-3mm.

The packing material 8 is injected and packed into the space part 7 from an injection hole 8 after the shrinkage fit to fill the spacing G communicating with the space part 7 generated between the plate body 2 and the hoop 4. The packing material is cured by heating and drying. The width of the hoop 4 is specified to 25 to 30 mm, the thickness to >=3 mm and the height of the space part 7 is specified to >=1.5 mm. and

SOLUTION: In this carbon-containing slide gate plate for controlling the flow rate of a melted metal, raw materials for forming the slide gate plate comprises at least a refractory inorganic raw material, a carbonaceous raw material and a metallic raw material. The continuous particle size distribution system is controlled so that the volume ratio (r) (namely a value obtained by dividing the vol.% of the particles contained in a larger particle diameter range by the vol.% of particles contained in the just smaller particle diameter range) of the particles in a particle diameter distribution to the particles in the adjacent particle diameter distribution is 0.8-1.4, when the continuous particle size distribution system is successively divided with the square root of 2 from the maximum particle diameter to the minimum particle diameter to form plural particle size distributions.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the entrapment of the air caused by voltex and flow speed and to obtain a cast product having little product defect caused by gas bubble by arranging a recessed part for restraining the voltex and the flow speed, adjoined on the sliding surface side of a through-hole and forming the bottom part. SOLUTION: A lower plate 11 has the through-hole 12 as a passage of molten metal and the surrounding of the though-hole 12 is projected to the reverse side to the sliding surface to form the thick thickness. On the sliding surface side 15 of the lower plate 11, the recessed part 23 for restraining the voltex and the flow speed adjoined on the through-hole 12 is formed to the shape opened upward and the side surface in the right side is inclined. By this formation, flow passage cross sectional area of the recessed part 23 forms smaller according to approaching the bottom part to contruct the flow. Therefore, the straightening action of the flow can be further improved.
