CONSTITUTION:This method for preparing an evaluation image of the fluctuation in vitality of a plant is to pick up reflected light at a specific wavelength from the plant as a luminance informational image with a video camera, carry out automatic regulation of a diaphragm so as to provide a proper level of a video image signal based on a relational expression of the quantity of spectral radiant energy of illuminating light at the time of measurement and a voltage value controlling the diaphragm of a video camera lens, prepare a corrected image of shading incident-light quantity for an output voltage value of the video camera or take a difference at the respective reference positions between images at different times using an image output value from a 'healthy' plant from a histogram of the luminance informational image as the reference positions and adjust the level or classify the vitality of the plant into four ranks 'health', 'caution', 'alarm' and 'disease' and display the rank with a pseudocolor image or take a difference of the classified images and provide an image evaluating a change in the vitality in time series.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a correcting method for a measuring image assuring a correct evaluation image by measuring the amount of radiation energy from a light source simultaneously with the measurement of the image to extract information alone attributed to changes in the degree of activity of a plant with the correction of a measured image signal. CONSTITUTION:Spectroscopic image signals for an R image and an IR image taken in parallel with two CCD video cameras 1 are sent to a parabola antenna 3 for transmission sequentially being switched with a visual controller 2. Two spectroscopic radiation meters 5 measure the amount of radiation energy with an optical sensor and a measrement data is recorded being integrated with a data logger 6 to be sent to the parabola antenna 3 through a modem 7 and a connection box 8. Among received data signals with a parabola antenna 9 for reception, the spectroscopic image signals are inputted into an image processor 10 and data signals are inputted into a computer 13 through a connection box 11 and a modem 12. The results of computation are displayed on a monitor TV 10a for images.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a character recognizing method which can simply recognize the handwritten numeric characters by means of an image processor. CONSTITUTION:A recognition pattern consists of windows (1)-(7) of a prescribed shape which are set each intermediate position of 7 segments forming a shape that connect together the middle points of both longer sides of a rectangle. Thus numeric characters 0-9 are defined by combinations of those windows. For instance, the numeric character 1 is defined by windows (2) and (3), and the numeric character 7 is defined by windows (1), (2) and (3) respectively. Meanwhile a guide pattern of each window combination shape is printed on a form as a target of description, and the point of description is decided by each definition. When the numeric character 1 is described, for example, two serial segments where the windows (2) and (3) are formed are used as the targets of description. The recognition pattern is put on each character for detection of the presence or absence of the line element of each window. If the line elements are included in the windows (2) and (3) only, it is decided that the numeric character 1 is described. Thus the handwritten numeric characters can be accurately recognized despite the variance of description.

Thus, a gradation image having the same condition is always obtained even when the object is in the mirror surface state or faces in any direction. The structure of the optical unit is simplified and material cost is low.
