摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the height of a horizontal type gas absorber by changing an absorption tower to a short absorption tank having plural absorption chambers and packings in a sufficient amount on the basis of the amount of gas to be treated in each absorption chamber. CONSTITUTION:Gas to be treated is directed into a gas inlet 13 and then passed orderly from below to above through absorption chambers 15, 16, and 17, during which the gas is brought into contact with an absorption liquid on the surface of packings 2 sufficiently wetted by the absorption liquid to absorb components to be absorbed, removed its mists by a demister 10, and then discharged through a gas outlet 14. Since, if the amount of gas to be treated is determined, the amount of packings necessary for the gas treatment is also determined, the height of the apparatus can be reduced by lowering the height of the packing to be packed in each absorption chamber and also by increasing the number of the absorption chambers.

摘要： PURPOSE:To use a washing liquid effectively by using as washing liquid used in the washing of a low concentration gas in the washing of a high concentration gas containing the same component to be removed. CONSTITUTION:A low concentration gas containing a component to be removed is introduced to a bottom portion of a washing tower 1a from an arranged pipe 8a and moved upwardly through a packed bed 9a within the tower 1a and a washing liquid within a chamber 5 of a washing tank 3 is distributed from an upper portion of the tower 1a and contacted with a gas to be treated to absorb and remove a component to be removed by a washing liquid. A washing liquid is returned to the chamber 5 through an arranged pipe 11a and circulated to the tower 1a. The increased portion according to a supplied amount from an arranged pipe 7 is overflowed a partition 4 and flowed into a chamber 6, thereafter distributed onto a packed bed from an upper portion of a tower 1b through a pump 2b and washes a high concentration gas introduced from the bottom of the tower 1b through an arranged pipe 8b and moving upwardly. After washing, a washing liquid is circulated to a chamber through an arragned pipe 11b of a tower bottom and high concentration liquid is drawn out from an arranged pipe 12.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the deodorizing efficiency by a method wherein a gas containing a malodorant component is oxidized by ozone under the presence of a catalyst such as Pt, Pd, Co or the like heated to high temperature as well as the regeneration of a catalyst is carried out occasionally and the deodorizing is carried out by an oxidizing function of a catalyst when a catalyst is regenerated. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing apparatus comprises a catalyst reactor 5, an ozone generator 4 or the like. A waste gas containing a malodorant component is raised to 50-80 deg.C by passing a duct 1, a blower 2 and a preheater 3, thereafter oxidized by ozone during passing an oxidizing calalyst layer 6 containing Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, Cu, Fe, Co, Ni, Ti or the like heated to about 100-150 deg.C and converted to odor free carbon dioxide and water and exhausted out of a system. During this deodorizing operation, an oxidizing catalyst layer 6 is occasionaly heated to 250-450 deg.C by a burning oil burner 7 or an electric heater 8 to release oxidized products adsorbed on a catalyst and the regeneration of a catalyst is carried out.

摘要： PURPOSE:To achieve stabler catalyst activity, longer catlyst life and higher deodorizing efficiency by treating the gas containing malodorous components through ozone catalyst oxidation then introducing atmospheric air in place of this gas and heating the catalyst at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:The gas containing malodorous components is contacted with ozone in the presence of the catalysts containing one or more kinds of transition metals whereby it is removed of malodorous components. At each fixed time, atmospheric air is introduced in place of the foregoing gas and the catalysts are heated at high temperature, whereby they are regenerated. The above process is carried out repeatedly. Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, Cu, Fe, Ti, Ni, Co, Cr, V, etc. may be enumerated as the adaptable catalysts. It is desirable that the heating temperature in said regenerating process be kept in a range of about 250-450 deg.C.
