摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the width and the accuracy of parallelism of the polygon- composing lines on an automatically produced drawing to be higher than those on an input draft. CONSTITUTION:The coordinate data on the feature points A-D of a line (s), one of both polygon-composing lines, written manually in an input draft 1 are inputted together with a pointing point Z showing which side of the line (s) does the other line (s') exist, and the space (w) set between both lines (s) and (s'). Then a line which is obtained by calculating the new feature points equivalent to the feature points A'-D' of the line (s') based on those input data is used in place of the line (s'). Under such conditions, two parallel lines which are distant from the line parts set between the first and last feature points A and D and their immediately adjacent feature points toward the point Z by the space (w) are decided. Then the intersecting points produced when the vertical lines are drawn down to the parallel lines from the feature points, are defined as the new feature points for both points A and D. In reference to the middle feature points B and C, two parallel lines which are distant from the line parts set between the immediately precedent and subsequent feature points toward the point Z by (w) are decided and the intersecting points produced between these parallel lines are defined as the new feature points.

CONSTITUTION:An operator inputs a point near a prescribed line of the map data shown on a display 11 by a pointing tool 19. A host computer 1 detects the line data nearest the input point and decides the center coordinates of a circular arc. Then the operator calculates a radius of the arc based on a menu 17 or a keyboard 20. The computer 1 stores the acquired center coordinates and radius into a layer in a work area 7 and shows the circular arc on the display 11. The operator inputs the position coordinates of a point set on a straight line touching the circular arc by means of the tool 19 and specifies a straight line. In such a constitution, the input of data is simplified.

Based on the processed data, the guide map easy to see is plotted.

The system compiles the facility data within the crossing points using the converted facility data (S412) and eliminates the crossing points that separated temporally the geographic data (S416). All these process converts the facility data of the old data structure to the facility data of the new data structure.
