    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause breakage of a body so as to sufficiently exhibit a shock absorbing effect by locally increasing the thickness of at least a wall part on the rear side of a filler in the peripheral wall part of a hollow part abutting on the filler of a bumper body having one or more hollow part extending in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A bumper 1 is formed by a bumper body 10 having a ladder-like section, which is manufactured by extrusion molded material of aluminum or its alloy and a filler 20 filled in the middle hollow part among three hollow parts 17, 18, 19 extended in the longitudinal direction, the filler 20 functions as a shock absorbing material, and it is formed of foam resin foam such as urethane foam or synthetic rubber. The rear wall part 12a between both middle wall parts 15, 16 on the rear side of the filler 20 of the bumper body 10 is locally increased in thickness, so that the tensitle force of the rear wall part 12 is locally large. Accordingly, breakage of the bumper body 10 caused by concentration of tensile force due to impact load at the time of collision is hardly caused.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fillers from falling off an aperture in the hollow part of stay, by occluding at least one part of the first aperture at the first occlusion part. SOLUTION: In a bumper 1 for a vehicle, a part nearer to a front end part of the first aperture at a filled hollow part 24 and a non-filled hollow part of stay 20 is occluded at the first occlusion part 15 of bumper main body 10, and by this impact-absorbing member 29 is prevented from falling off the first aperture. In case of travel of an automobile, the impact-absorbing member 29 tends to move downward due to vibration during the travel, but its movement is regulated by the first occlusion part 15. And as filler filled up in the hollow part of stay 20, an impact-absorbing member made from synthetic resin with a constant shape is used. In this way, a defect of falling down of the impact- absorbing member 29 from the aperture of the frilled hollow part 24 is prevented, and for that reason, the impact at the time of collision is surely absorbed.
