摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly cause breakage of a body so as to sufficiently exhibit a shock absorbing effect by locally increasing the thickness of at least a wall part on the rear side of a filler in the peripheral wall part of a hollow part abutting on the filler of a bumper body having one or more hollow part extending in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: A bumper 1 is formed by a bumper body 10 having a ladder-like section, which is manufactured by extrusion molded material of aluminum or its alloy and a filler 20 filled in the middle hollow part among three hollow parts 17, 18, 19 extended in the longitudinal direction, the filler 20 functions as a shock absorbing material, and it is formed of foam resin foam such as urethane foam or synthetic rubber. The rear wall part 12a between both middle wall parts 15, 16 on the rear side of the filler 20 of the bumper body 10 is locally increased in thickness, so that the tensitle force of the rear wall part 12 is locally large. Accordingly, breakage of the bumper body 10 caused by concentration of tensile force due to impact load at the time of collision is hardly caused.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a bumper capable of avoiding a decrease in strength of junctions due to the influence of heat and avoiding cracking. SOLUTION: Support members 3 are strongly fitted into a fitting recess 22 in a predetermined longitudinal position in a bumper main body 2 and are temporarily assembled in place. After one of projection streaks 21 on the bumper main body 2 is frictionally and agitatingly joined with the support members 3, the other of the projections 21 and the support members 3 are similarly frictionally and agitatingly joined together. When the support members 3 and the bumper main body 2 are thus frictionally and agitatingly joined and integrated together, a decrease in strength of the junctions and high-temperature cracking during melt welding are avoided, and a bumper 1 excellent in strength and rigidity can be fabricated.

Whereby the load peak on the impact absorbing hollow member A can be controlled, the impact absorbing hollow member A can be smoothly deformed when the impact is axially added thereto, and the impact energy absorbing performance can be improved.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight while absorbing impact energy by constituting a vehicular shock absorber of a cylindrical frame member being formed by extrusion molding of an aluminum alloy and having a partition wall for partitioning the inside space by being extended in the extruding direction and an elastic foaming body arranged in isolated chambers partitioned by the partition wall. SOLUTION: A shock absorber used for a front side bumper of a vehicle is constituted by using a cylindrical frame member 1 being formed in a cylindrical shape and having a partition wall 11 for partitioning the inside space into a front isolated chamber 12 and a rear isolated chamber 13 and an elastic foaming body 2 filled/arranged in the front isolated chamber 12 and the rear isolated chamber 13 as a main element. The cylindrical frame member 1 is formed in a cylindrical shape by extrusion molding of an aluminum alloy, and has a single partition wall 11 for partitioning the inside space into the front isolated chamber 12 and the rear isolated chamber 13 by being extended in the extruding direction. A slit formed in the extruding direction at extrusion molding time is provided in a central part of this partition wall 11, and the front isolated chamber 12 and the rear isolated chamber 13 are communicated by this slit.

SOLUTION: In a bumper 1 for a vehicle, a part nearer to a front end part of the first aperture at a filled hollow part 24 and a non-filled hollow part of stay 20 is occluded at the first occlusion part 15 of bumper main body 10, and by this impact-absorbing member 29 is prevented from falling off the first aperture. In case of travel of an automobile, the impact-absorbing member 29 tends to move downward due to vibration during the travel, but its movement is regulated by the first occlusion part 15. And as filler filled up in the hollow part of stay 20, an impact-absorbing member made from synthetic resin with a constant shape is used. In this way, a defect of falling down of the impact- absorbing member 29 from the aperture of the frilled hollow part 24 is prevented, and for that reason, the impact at the time of collision is surely absorbed.
