摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic thin film having high permeability reaching a high frequency region by forming the magnetic thin film with cobalt, nickel, niobium, tantalum, molybdenum, vanadium, silver, gold, ruthenium, and the like and specifying the rate of inclusion thereof. CONSTITUTION:Cobalt is included 2wt.% or less. Nickel is included such that the total inclusion of niobium and tantalum ranging within 73-82wt.%. Total 1-8wt.% of one or two kinds of niobium and tantalum is included. Total 0.001-2wt.% of one or two kinds of molybdenum, vanadium, chromium, tungsten copper, titanium and zirconium is included. 摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a core material for a thin film head or the like having high saturation magnetic flux density, no decrease in permittivity up to a high frequency range and good thermal stability with good reproducibility by forming it of specific amounts of Co, Ni, Nb, Ta, Mo, V, Cr, W, Cu, Ti, Zr, Hf, the balance of Fe and small amounts of impurities. A magnetic thin film of the composition is preferably manufac tured by forming the film on a suitable insulating material by a sputtering depositing method, i.e., by sputtering under argon pressure due to a simple operation. In this instance, particularly when the sputtering is conducted by maintaining it in a range of 325Torr of the argon pressure, the film having excellent magnetic characteristic is preferably obtained.

CONSTITUTION:This magnetic material for magnetic recording medium contains one of cobalt, nickel and iron, or an alloy consisting of at least two of these metals of 90-99% by weight, silicon of 0.1-4% by weight and chromium of 0.5-4% by weight, the total level of the silicon and chromium being 1-6% by weight. The use of such material can prevent the bumping of melted deposit material and the vapor thereof can be produced uniformly. Further, the magnetic coercive force is not decreased and the magnetic recording medium is provided with desirable anticorrosion property.
