    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ascertain a point of leakage in a short time by a method wherein pressure wave produced with a water hammer producing means provided at a hydraulic testing machine is transmitted through a water supply piping. SOLUTION: A circulation piping 2 is equipped with a flow regulating valve 3, a solenoid operated valve 4 for opening and shutting a passage, a hydraulic pressure gauge 5, a circulation pump 6 for forcibly circulating water inside the circulation piping 2, and a flow meter 7. Water is supplied to the circulation piping 2 and a water supply piping 11 and both of them are filled with water. Then, the solenoid operated valve 4 is put in the state of opening, the circulation pump is actuated, and water in the circulation piping 2 is made to run at a specified speed by operation of the flow regulating valve 3. As a sudden closure is made with the solenoid operated valve 4 operated for ON/OFF at a fixed interval, pressure wave is produced, starting from the position of the solenoid operated valve 4 and a water hammer is produced between the solenoid operated valve and the water supply piping 11. Thereby, a leakage point in the water supply piping 11 can be detected. As the water hammer having a big pressure fluctuation is used, the point of leakage can be found in a short time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable changing a discharge route for washing water accompanied by residuum and a discharge route for solid matter by simple construction to attain improved working efficiency. SOLUTION: When feeding slurry into a rotary dehydrating basket 31 to separate it into sewage and solid matter, or when feeding washing water into the rotary dehydrating basket 31 to wash it, washing water accompanied by solid matter or residuum is led upward along the slope of the rotary dehydrating basket 3 and is discharged to a fixed chute 42 from the upper edge of a holding body 32. A lower opening 42b of the fixed chute 42 is provided with a moving chute 56 in which a lower opening 56b can be separated and connected from and to an upstream end opening 54a of a washing water bring-out pipe 54. The moving chute 56 is oscillated between a fermentation device 11 side corresponding position at which solid matter is led to a fermentation device 11 through a solid matter feeding pipe 12 as it is without changing the direction of the solid matter fed through the fixed chute 42 and a washing water bring-out pipe 34 side corresponding position at which the direction of washing water fed together with residuum through the fixed chute 42 is changed to bring out it to the upstream end opening 54a of the washing water bring-out pipe 54.
