    • PURPOSE:To reduce lowering of saturating magnetization of metal magnetic fluid by contacting magnetic fluid retained in a clearance of external system side to inert gas. CONSTITUTION:Plural magnetic circuits made up by ring type permanent magnet 4 and ring type magnetic yoke 4 are arranged on an outer periphery of a shaft 2. Metal magnetic fluid of relatively high saturating magnetization is used as a magnetic fluid to be retained in a clearance. But the metal magnetic fluid is inferior in anti-corrosion ability, then the magnetic fluid retained in the outermost clearance 5 which will contact the external system is contacted to inert gas. As the inert gas, nitrogen, argon, helium etc. or mixture air of these are used.

    • PURPOSE:To expedite a response speed to inclination and to reduce the amount of magnetic fluid by covering a permanent magnet housed in a case with a magnetic cap having a specified weight so as to cover the most parts of the upper surface and the side surface ranging to the vicinity of the bottom surface of the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:A cap 15 which is made to cover a permanent magnet 12 has a shape which covers the most parts of the upper surface and the side surface to the vicinity of the bottom surface. A weight is added to the permanent magnet 13 and a desired weight W is obtained. When a case is inclined by alpha, the permanent magnet 13 tends to move along the bottom surface. At this time, the component of force w.sinalpha becomes large. When the component of force becomes large, various forces which block the movement, i.e. attracting force with the reed of a reed switch 17, viscosity of magnetic fluid, surface tension and the like, can be readily overcome. Therefore, the inclination of the case can immediately respond thereto and sensitivity is improved.

    • PURPOSE:To detect pressure in a high - low pressure range as an electric signal with simple structure by allowing an electro-magnetic coil to detect variation in the liquid level of magnetic fluid which is displaced following up a bellows extending and contracting by receiving pressure. CONSTITUTION:The bellows contains the magnetic fluid 2 consisting of magnetic fine particles of magnetite, etc., which is smaller in volume than its internal capacity, and a detection coil 3 is wound outside a detection pipe part 102 at the tip. When pressure is applied through a pressure intake 42, the bellows 1 expands by, for example, DELTAd and then the liquid level of the magnetic fluid 42 is displaced by DELTAd and then the liquid level of the magnetic fluid 42 is displaced by DELTAh accordingly. This displacement varies the inductance of the detection coil 3 and the variation is converted into the electric signal and detected. For the purpose, the spring constant of the bellows 1 is selected properly to detect pressure in a low - high pressure range as the electric signal.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a sensor which easily reads a tilt angle and as a result, is simple in a circuit design of a signal process and moreover, has good sensitivity by winding a coil round an annular container wherein a magnetic fluid is enclosed in a part of its annular hollow part. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic fluid 2 is filled up by about 50% of the volume of the annular hollow part in the circular annular container 1 and the coil 31 is wound round the container. In this case, the coil 31 is wound on one side of the right side and the left side with respect to a reference line S of tilt angle measurement and the number of windings is made about 100-1,000 turns. Further, in order to improve detecting accuracy, two coils can be wound symmetrically as the coils 31 and 32 as necessary. Accordingly, the coils 31 and 32 are wound round the annular container 1 in the part of which the fluid 2 is enclosed and the tilt angle is measured by the variation of inductance. In this way, the variation of the inductance and the tilt angle is made the linear relation in a wide range and as a result, the sensor which processes a read signal easily and is also simple in its circuit design and moreover, has good sensitivity is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To detect a slanting direction by arranging a magnetic reacting switch so that the switch does not reacts to a magnet at a zero position which is the position of the magnet when a case does not slants and reacts to the magnet at a distance from the zero position. CONSTITUTION:When the case 1 does not slants, the magnetic reacting switch 4 is at a distance l from the magnet 2 at the zero position O1 and does not react. If the case 1 slants as shown by an arrow a1 about the zero position O1, the switch 4 slants as shown by the arrow a1 together with the case 1. The magnet 2 which is supported by magnetic fluid 3 is in a stationary state through the operation of the gravitational force (g) regardless of the inclination of the case 1. Consequently, the switch 4 reacts to the magnetic field produced by the magnet 2 through the inclination of the case 1 in the direction shown by the arrow (a), so that the inclination is detected.
