    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight structure having a center of gravity the position of which can be easily adjusted.
      SOLUTION: The counterweight structure 1 of a forklift truck includes upper and lower counterweights 2, 3 divided into two parts in the vertical direction. The upper counterweight 2 is made of materials with smaller specific gravities such as a steel box-shaped outer wall member and a concrete deposited in the box-shaped outer wall member. The lower counterweight 3 is made of a material with a larger specific gravity such as a casting. The upper counterweight 2 is a member of U-shape in plan view which has a pair of left and right extensions 20 extending from both left and right sides thereof forward of a vehicle. The lower counterweight 3 extends from the center of the upper counterweight 2 downward.

SOLUTION: A main body 11 of this cargo handling apparatus is formed by a supported part 12 supported on a cargo handling means 1 and a support part 13 rockably provided on the supported part 12. This apparatus is provided with a horizontal operating means 17 for rocking the support part 13 to the supported part 12. The support part 13 is provided with a pair of C-shaped hooks 21 having the lateral locking parts 24 at the lower part freely close to and apart from each other. An approaching and separating movement means 31 is provided for moving both locking parts 24 to approach and separate from each other. Both locking parts 24 are formed by a fixed locking part 24A and a movable locking part 24B moving forward and backward in the lateral direction to the fixed locking part 24A.
