    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous centrifugal separator in which solid-liquid separation of high-viscosity slurry containing a large quantity of particulate component can be carried out satisfactorily.
      SOLUTION: This continuous centrifugal separator has screws 21, 22, 23 which are arranged inside a plurality of baskets 11, 12, 13 and have screwed blades 31, 32, 33 projectingly attached to the outer peripheral surfaces, respectively. The adjacent ones of the baskets 11, 12, 13 are connected to each other in the axial direction. At least one basket 12 among the baskets 11, 12, 13 is formed into an almost cylindrical shape concentric with a center shaft.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a screen by arranging a slurry colliding ring for preventing the direct collision of a slurry supplied from a slurry supply pipe with the screen arranged to the basket of a cone-shaped centrifugal separator at the position of the basket opposed to a slurry discharge port. SOLUTION: A slurry supplied from a slurry supply pipe 4 collides with a screen 2 and only the liquid component passed through the screen 2 passes through the peripheral surface of a basket 1 to be discharged into a separated liquid storage tank 7. The solid component collected on the inner peripheral surface of the screen 2 is transferred toward the open end of the basket 1 to be discharged into a discharge duct 8. In this cone-shaped centrifugal separator, a slurry colliding ring 9 is attached to the basket 1 in a detachable manner by bolts 92 in opposed relation to a slurry discharge port 33. By this constitution, the supplied slurry is received by the slurry colliding ring 9 to reduce impact force to prevent the generation of strain in the screen 2.
