SOLUTION: A slurry supplied from a slurry supply pipe 4 collides with a screen 2 and only the liquid component passed through the screen 2 passes through the peripheral surface of a basket 1 to be discharged into a separated liquid storage tank 7. The solid component collected on the inner peripheral surface of the screen 2 is transferred toward the open end of the basket 1 to be discharged into a discharge duct 8. In this cone-shaped centrifugal separator, a slurry colliding ring 9 is attached to the basket 1 in a detachable manner by bolts 92 in opposed relation to a slurry discharge port 33. By this constitution, the supplied slurry is received by the slurry colliding ring 9 to reduce impact force to prevent the generation of strain in the screen 2.
