    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cloth attachment structure which is used e.g. for a basket-type centrifugal separator for subjecting a suspension comprising solid particles and a liquid to solid-liquid separation, prevents fine particles from leaking through a filter cloth, and decreases the labor and time required for attaching a filter cloth. SOLUTION: This structure is composed of a basket 2, peripheral grooves 3, a filter cloth 4, and seal members 5. Especially, the structure includes annular peripheral groove 3 which are formed at the outer peripheral sections of terminal walls 8 of a basket 2 and continue to the inner peripheries of a surrounding wall 7, an open-end tubular filter cloth 4 which is soft and is positioned at the inside the surrounding wall 7 of the basket 2 and of which both the terminal edges 9 are inserted into respective peripheral grooves 3, and annular sealing members 5 which are inlaid into the peripheral grooves 3 to seal the gaps between terminal edges 9 of the filter cloth 4 and the basket 2.

An alarm signal is outputted and an alarm display 18 is operated when the failure of the bellows 5 is detected.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability of a screen by arranging a slurry colliding ring for preventing the direct collision of a slurry supplied from a slurry supply pipe with the screen arranged to the basket of a cone-shaped centrifugal separator at the position of the basket opposed to a slurry discharge port. SOLUTION: A slurry supplied from a slurry supply pipe 4 collides with a screen 2 and only the liquid component passed through the screen 2 passes through the peripheral surface of a basket 1 to be discharged into a separated liquid storage tank 7. The solid component collected on the inner peripheral surface of the screen 2 is transferred toward the open end of the basket 1 to be discharged into a discharge duct 8. In this cone-shaped centrifugal separator, a slurry colliding ring 9 is attached to the basket 1 in a detachable manner by bolts 92 in opposed relation to a slurry discharge port 33. By this constitution, the supplied slurry is received by the slurry colliding ring 9 to reduce impact force to prevent the generation of strain in the screen 2.
