    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of construction for the foundation structure of a selfsupported type stationary crane by a method in which of loads acting on the crane foundation, drawing force is shared by a wire rope or a rod, and compression force is absorbed by a pressure-resistant supporting plate. CONSTITUTION:A base 3 provided connectedly at the lower end of the mast 2 of a selfsupported type stationary crane 1 is set on a pressure-resistant supporting plate 4 constructed in the ground. A rod or wire rope 6 to which an early- period tension is given is tensely provided between plural earth anchors 5 buried in plural places under the ground in the surrounding of the mast 2 and in the lower part of the supporting plate 4 and the base 3. Among loads acting on the foundation of the crane, drawing force is shared by the rope or rod 6 a minimal cross section, and compression force is by the supporting plate, e.g., concrete slab, etc. Since a material which is most kinematically reasonable with respect to drawing force and compression force can be used, an overburden of properties in terms of drawing load on pile, etc., in particular can be eliminated.
