      SOLUTION: The excavator capable of excavating the ground by the excavating edge 21 is so constituted that it is equipped with a plurality of fixed shafts 30 and 30 arranging axial force in the forward direction and an excavating shaft 22 having the excavating edge 21 on the lower end section and supported by each of the fixed shafts 30 and 30 in a rotatable state around the shaft, outer motors (driving motors) 40 and 40 are respectively mounted to the lower end sections of the fixed shafts 30 and 30 and that driving gears 43 provided to output sections 42 of the outer motors 40 and 40 are engaged with a follower 24 provided to the excavating shaft 22 to rotate the excavating shaft 22 by torque of the output sections 42 and 42 of the outer motors 40 and 40.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an underwater steel-pipe-sheet pile at low cost in a short period. SOLUTION: The primary driving of steel-pipe-sheet piles 19 is conducted by a vibro-pile driver 17 hung down from a crane in conformity with piles for an introducing material installed on a water-bottom bearing ground, and secondary driving is performed by the following execution procedure. An internally inserted pipe 10, on which a piping for a water jet is mounted, is connected to the vibro-pile driver 17 hung down from the crane, and inserted into the steel-pipe-sheet piles 19 after primary driving and the piles 19 are struck and lowered. The driving of the internally inserted pipe 10 is stopped, the vibro-pile driver 17 and the water jet are used jointly and the internally inserted pipe 10 is sunk by itself up to the upper ends of the steel-pipe-sheet piles 19. The internally inserted pipe 10 and the steel-pipe-sheet piles 19 are gripped by the gripping means of the vibro-pile driver 17. The vibro-pile driver 17 and the water jet are used in combination, and the sheet piles 19 are driven into water up to specified places. The driving of the internally inserted pipe 10 and the steel-pipe-sheet piles 19 are stopped, and the gripping of the vibro-pile driver 17 is released. Only the internally inserted pipe 10 is gripped by the gripping means of the vibro-pile driver 17, and the internally inserted pipe 10 is pulled up together with the vibro-pile driver 17. The process is repeated, and underwater steel-pipe-sheet piles are driven.
