摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten a sliding characteristic by applying electrolytic Sn plating to the surface of an Al-Si eutectic alloy base material with most of eutectic Si grains fallen and with specific maximum surface roughness (Rz). SOLUTION: Electrolytic Sn plating is applied to the surface of Al-Si eutectic alloy base material with fine recessed parts formed by the fall of most of eutectic Si grains and with maximum surface roughness (Rz) of 5.5μm or less. In order to thus adjsut the base surface, concentration of an alkali etching solution of base material is to be high and treatment time is to be rather short, and concentration of an acid solution for smut treatment is to be low and treatment time is to be rather long. To be concrete, desirable treatment conditions are that concentration of Na0H in the former is 100g/L or more and time is about 10 seconds, and concentration of nitric acid in the latter is 600mL/L or less, concentration of hydrofluoric acid is 40mL/L or less and treatment time is about 10-20 seconds. It is also desirable that the temperature of alkali etching is about 45 deg.C and that the temperature of smut treatment is the room temperature.

A tapered face 41 is formed over the whole of the peripheral end section of the top face of a piston 26. On the other hand, in a cylinder block 11, a tapered face 42 is formed extending opposing to the tapered face 41 over the whole of the end section of the inner wall of the cylinder bore 25. By both of the tapered faces 41 and 42, a ring-like passage 43 extending along the outer periphery of the piston 26 and communicating with the outlet port 32 is formed in the final period of the discharge process (compressing process) of the piston 26.

SOLUTION: The discharge chamber 120 of a variable displacement compressor 101 having a discharge quantity variable according to the inclination of a swash plate 130 is connected to a drive chamber 110 through a heating discharge displacement changing passage 201, and a first discharge displacement changing valve 181 is interposed in the passage 201. The drive chamber 11 is connected to a suction chamber 115 through a pressure reducing passage 202, and a second discharge displacement changing valve 185 is interposed in the passage 202. When the discharge pressure of a working fluid abnormally rises in heating operation, the valve element 211 of the first discharge displacement changing valve 181 is opened by the differential pressure between the discharge pressure and the internal pressure of the drive chamber 110, while the valve element 213 of the second discharge displacement changing valve 185 is moved in throttling direction, and the inclination of a wash plate 130 is reduced to reduce the discharge capacity.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a shaft sealing device as insures high shaft sealing performance even against the gas showing relatively high gas permeability to the seal material in use. SOLUTION: A seal 32 for a revolving shaft 17 is provided with a rubber seal element 42 and a resin seal element 43. The inner periphery of the seal element 42 is closely adhered with a thin metallic plate 50 in its entire area except a sliding part 47. Because the metallic plate 50 is thin enough, if the seal element 42 deforms elastically, the plate 50 also deforms together with the element 42, keeping close adhesion between the two. Thus, the thin metallic plate 50 is closely an firmly adhered to the surface of the seal element 42 even when the seal element 42 is press-contacted with the periphery of the revolving shaft 17 after the assembling of the seal 32 for the revolving shaft 17. In this way, a path, through which gas (carbon dioxide) showing high gas permeability to rubber or resin leaks permeating the seal elements 42, 43, can nearly be cut off by the thin metallic plate 50.

Even when cross section of the air bleed passage 32 is increased to an extent enough to prevent plugging of foreign matter such as sludge or ensure machining accuracy, increase of supplied gas amount to the crank chamber 14 during transferring to a low displacement operation can be restrained to restrain increase of power loss.
