      SOLUTION: The polishing material for PMTC is produced by compounding (A) a silicic anhydride having an average particle diameter of 1-5 μm and an oil absorption of 30-70 mL/100 g with (B) a silicic anhydride having an average particle diameter of 6-12 μm and an oil absorption of 100-130 mL/100 g, wherein the compounding ratio of the silicic anhydride (A) to (B) is 1:3 to 2:1, the content of the silicic anhydride (A) is ≥10 wt.%, that of the silicic anhydride (B) is ≥10 wt.%, and the sum of the compounding amount of the silicic anhydrides (A) and (B) is 35-80 wt.%. A polishing material for PMTC free from the damaging trouble on the tooth surface can be produced by the method.
