    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core capable of securing insulation between soft magnetic particles on a ground surface in the grinding process of the surface of a heat treated compact.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the dust core includes a preparation process to prepare the heat treated compact 100 by applying compression molding to soft magnetic particles having insulation coating and heating an obtained powder compact to a prescribed temperature, and a machining process to remove a part of the heat treated compact 100 by a machining tool 2. The machining process is carried out using the heat treated compact 100 as an anode, and using the machining tool 2 for machining the heat treated compact 100 or a first counter electrode 5 made to face the machining tool 2 with a space kept from the tool as a cathode, while energizing the anode and the cathode with a conductive liquid 7L interposed between them. By this energization, bridge portions connecting the soft magnetic particles adjacent to each other is removed from the machined surface of the heat treated compact 100.

      SOLUTION: In the joining method, a metal bar 10 is press-inserted in a circular hole formed in a metal piece 20 while the metal bar is relatively rotated, and the metal piece 20 and the metal bar 10 are joined by the friction pressure welding. A plurality of projection parts 11 are provided in a joining area to the circular hole in the metal bar 10, along the axial direction of the metal bar 10. Each projection part 11 has a surface 12 orthogonal to the axial direction of the metal bar 10, and an inclined surface to be tapered from the front side to the rear side of the advancing direction to the circular hole in the metal bar 10. Each projection part is an annular body continuous along the circumferential direction of the metal bar 10. An excessive constitution material of the metal piece 20 formed in a joined part is joined while being pressed in the advancing direction of the metal bar 10 by the orthogonal surface 12 of the projection part 11, and generation of burrs 250 is suppressed thereby.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance motor characteristics by enhancing circularity of the inside diameter of a stator when a ringlike stator is formed by arranging split stator cores annularly and then tightening them.
